In 2016, I was looking for a multi-day hiking experience so I could do the trek to Machu Pichu. I came across multiple websites advertising walking tours of the Camino de Santiago. Never knew one could put on their backpack and walk across Spain without a company! Fortunately, we knew some...
I didn't stay there but we took the alternative route to there in 2016, visited the church, rang the bell. I still have my beatitudes for pilgrims that I got there and frequently referenced them.
I'm finishing my Camino Frances this Fall (been on it for 10 days x 2) and hope to do the course in Canada this coming winter. So, not able to help out this year, but definitely want to next year.
Hola Fernando y Lisa!
My husband and I are also walking September - we walked SJPP to Logrono in 2016, so picking up from there around Sept 26. Maybe see you on the trails!

Hello everyone.
Does one have to stay at Santa Maria in Carrion to experience the singing nuns and the pilgrim blessing or is it open to pilgrims staying at other albergues?
Hi everyone! Returned home from 10 days on the camino from Leon to Sarria a week ago. Loved being back and looking forward to next year!
We found the road from La Portela de Valcarce to Vega de Valcarce to be particularly hazardous - no dedicated walking path, little shoulder, winding and...
Reflection on 4 days.

So happy to be back in Spain and back on the Camino! We- hubby and I, only have 10 days so walking León to Sarria via Samos.
Started in León today - much cooler. The heatwave has definitely broken, at least for now! Was 10°C when we started today.
Lots of liquid sunshine today...
Great to see you back on the Camino, Sara! Looking forward to your bridge dances! We're leaving from Leon on June 20 - maybe the timing will be such that I may see you! From a fellow Canadian - Cathy
Hi. I use Gaia GPS. You can put in waymarkers, take photos through it, see distance, elevation, time and the really neat thing is you can combine all your tracks into 1 trip/route through the website.
