Thanks Rob, I think the bus will be our best option. It doesn't sound too bad! Cheers, Chris.

Hi Liliom, You will be ahead of me, I don't start until later in September. I intend to walk from the airport. It seems as though that's possible reading the forum. Good look with your camino!

    Santiago to Porto Airport

Hi, I wondered what is the best way to get from Santiago to Porto Airport. I see there is a direct bus which takes nearly 4 hours. There looks to be a couple of trains but on very early and one quite late which are no good for our flight times. Has anyone managed a quicker way back t the...

    Porto Airport

Thanks Jeff - The only reason I want to walk from the airport is that I am in Porto 2 weeks prior to mY starting the Camino. I am there with work and will have a couple of days being a tourist then.

Hello All, I have 2 weeks off work at the end of September and I'm looking for advice on what would be a good 10 or so days walking on the Camino. I don't really need to finish in Santiago and I did Sarria to Santiago last November so don't want to do that part again (although I really enjoyed...

Finding The Time To Walk A Camino

I like your style. The thought of still working where I am now in five years time is enough to make me resign tomorrow though.

Finding The Time To Walk A Camino

Thanks for the reply's. It is interesting to know how people do 'make' the time. I have asked for 4 weeks unpaid leave and to be able to tag 2 weeks holiday on to give me 6 weeks in September. Ill see what they come back with. I work for a large international company based in the UK. On the HR...

Finding The Time To Walk A Camino

I was wondering how people find the time to walk a Camino? My father and I walked from Sarria to Santiago last November and loved it and I was planning on doing the Portuguese Camino from Tui in September. I'm now thinking I would love to do the whole Frances but with work commitments it is...

How do I get to Sarria?

You can get a train from Madrid to Sarria. We got the overnight one with a bunk which worked well. Left Madrid at around 10pm and got to Sarria at around 6am. Had some breakfast in Sarria and set off walking.
