We have done the entire Camino Frances and have broken up all the stages to accommodate our age. Just use the Brierly guide and look for the distances you want. Then check something like Booking.com for places to stay. You can easily make your own journey.
Does anyone know if there is luggage transport support on the Camino Ingles. My husband and I just finished the Frances and could not have done it without the transfer of our bags. We are +/- 80 years old and need all the help we can get.
I would definitely choose Pamplona to Logroño. It is beautiful wine country with good food and many villages. I would also do no more than 15km a day so you can really enjoy your walk. Better to book ahead too. La Perla is a lovely hotel in Pamplona, since you're celebrating.
If you could get to Tricastella and walk to Samos one day and then to Sarria the next, that would be nice. The walk into Samos is lovely and seeing the monastery there is special too. The walk from Samos to Sarria - so-so.
We took a taxi to La Virgen del Camino and walked from there. We're pretty fanatical about walking every part of the Camino, but this one section we are happy to have skipped.
