Avoid soup, it tends to leak through backpack fabric. A roasted chicken or leg of lamb with a decent bottle of Bierzo and a side salad would be my choice though I’d probably prefer it if someone else carried it. You’re looking at a 6hr walk...
Trail runners worked just fine on Salvador and Primitivo. I've done the Salvador/Primitivo combination once and the Primitivo by itself once. I've also done the Colorado Trail in them (far gnarlier than anything on any Camino). Boots only...
I have recopied the reply I made just now to underline the point that you are not taking away a bed if you stay at a donativo. Stay, and donate. It will help to keep the donativos alive, and the spirit of the camino alive.

Some years ago the whole Camino Experience was a thing of generosity, share, human being, etc. A Pilgrimage where the rich joins the poor, the beliver share diner with the atheist, the young help the elder, where sometimes you must ask a local...
Gronze is not a real word but is the spelling out of GR 11, the number 11 being onze in Catalan (once in Spanish). GR stands for ‘Gran Recorrido’ (i.e. a long trail). The GR 11 is a trail in the Pyrenees.
