A group of us at an albergue were able to jointly hire a local for the drive back. I can't remember how much, but it was affordable. Four new people and great conversation!

I have not been able to bring myself to a definite decision, but I want to go end of April. Following this thread when it was created last year was such a delight as well as a respite. Seeing your post lifts my heart.

Cold water wash is not the thing to do at the beginning. Soak it in hot water with dissolved salt(without iodine!) for about 30 minutes. Then hot water wash and rinse in a machine. Then hot dryer. Heat is what sets the dye along with the salt. Cold water washes are not ever going to finish the...

I'm a bit baffled by folks saying they can't take knitting needles on a plane. I have taken them on every plane I've ever been on with no trouble at all. USA and Europe. For the Camino I take a lightweight bamboo circular needle and lightweight yarn to make a scarf so I'm not adding much weight...

Wise Pilgrim has just published paper editions of their guide and it is much better than what I could find(in English) when I walked del Norte in 2016.
