Spontaneous Camino
Mine was also a knee injury, which led to a hobble, which then led to a sore hip. I use them every time I hike now. I’m very lucky that my injuries were not permanent!- DC Camnio

I also did a Camino on a whim! (Although not 24 hours)! Respect! I am a healthy, active person and I thought I’d be able to walk the Camino no issues. Lessons learned. Weather second 1/2 of October on Leon to sarria stretch
I walked starting Leon mid October last year and it was cold in the morning but very hot by mid-day. There was snow in the mountains, but it was incredibly beautiful. Buen Camino!- DC Camnio

Starting in Leon...accomodation and first day walking
I HIGHLY recommend taking the alternative route from Virgen del Camino. It's very picturesque (It's the path that heads to the left just past the modern church).
