    In light of the Pandemic, this Holy Year, will-likely have no resemblance to Holy Years past. Masks and safe distancing will most likely still apply as it does now in the Cathedral. There will not be as in the past thousands crowded together.

    Much of the days walk on the Le Puy route is along the shady, tranquil Moissac Canal, from Moissac, France.

    Possible detour on Arles Route to Lourdes?

    There is a relatively new GR861 from Toulouse to St. Bertrand de Comminges, then 60 kms. on I believe GR78 to Lourdes. A total of about 150 miles. It supposedly has very little road walking. It follows the Goronne River.

    Thanks for the link, but they apparently have made a new route, La Via Garona (GR861), Toulouse to St. Bertrand-de-Comminges, and then the traditional route to Lourdes. then on to St. Jean. The www. have a guide book for it.
