I have been using a Garmin Instinct for years when I walk, run, hike and bike. It’s easy to use, accurate and reliable using GPS. Not too cheap but you get what you pay for.
I have the same need, looked at all three options and chose the plane. I saw this as the most straightforward (only 1 transfer) and convenient...assuming it departs and arrives as scheduled. COVID processes may introduce a wrinkle.
