My life long friend and I will celebrate our 70th in Sept. We were born 2 weeks apart and plan on celebrating both birthdays on the trail. It will be his first Camino, my first was in 2011.

Dear forummembers, It is with great sadness I inform you of the death of @annakappa. She and her husband fraluchi ( who was also a member here ) were very active on this forum. They were both gentle and wise people. They were always generous...

When stopping at a bar/cafe for morning cafe con leche and slice of tortilla etc, I would generally order at the counter, wait for the items and then take them to a table. If the bar is not busy, often one is not charged upon ordering but rather...

I am once again (2011) starting from St Jean Pied de Port. This time with an old friend that wants to experience the Camino. I have booked ahead the first 3 nights as I don't understand the reality on the ground, but have heard, and read, that...

Best post I have read in a long time. Technology is IMHO depriving the former spontanituity of the Camino. Combine with the huge increase in firsttime pilgrims, uncertain and unknowing of the Camino's (former, "normal") walking, the willingness...

This is a complex issue, and one that I have had many a conversation about with albergue owners. It is a topic I have spent a LOT of time wrestling with. It has not occupied me as a pilgrim, because as a pilgrim I am rather staunchly a fan of...
