    Foot Care

I’ve just completed the Camino Frances. SJPP to Santiago. I did not get one blister, not one! I did however take care of my feet. Trail runners: Altra Lone Peak 6. Wide toe box which meant my toes were not squashed. They are not waterproof but this did mean they dried out quickly and I never...

Numbers of pilgrims starting at SJPP

Thanks Susan, I have now pre booked right up to Puente la Reina which is 6 nights. You are right, Zubiri was already really busy. Really hoping it thins out as stupidly I thought the time I selected was going to be quieter. I don't think I can handle having to dash around at the end of a walk...

Trail Runner Brands That Work for wide feet

Just checked mine, I wear a UK 11 and these are a UK and fit like a glove. Like someone else mentioned, these are zero drop but I have found no problems adjusting.

Trail Runner Brands That Work for wide feet

I actually can't remember what size I bought, I'm out right now but will look when I get home. I really don't think I've ever worn anything so instantly comfortable. Re the Northface, they were fine for a while but when I ramped up the training they failed me

Numbers of pilgrims starting at SJPP

Ouch, I thought starting mid April would be quiet, it appears not to be the case. I'm starting from SJPP on the 18th April.

Trail Runner Brands That Work for wide feet

I've just bought the Altra Lone Peak 6 and as mentioned above they have a really wide toe box which I need, they are super light and probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I did 20K's this morning, 15k's yesterday and they felt like slippers. I originally bought a pair of North Face...
