I am on the Frances with only a liner and wishing I had a sleeping bag. It is due to get warmer but I think in any case it is not yet warm enough to be sleeping in liner alone. Take your bag if you like to sleep comfortably.
I am also on the cf now! Only early on and have stopped in cezar menor for tonight. The last 3 nights have been pleasant. Definitely none of the atmosphere described above and friendly socialising aplenty but mostly respectful of others space and early to bed early to rise. Staying mostly in...
Hi all
Can confirm that I purchased new shoes in Zubiri today. Now sitting enjoying a beer in Larrasoaña, thank you all for your support and recommendations. Weather here on the Camino is still very, grand.

Hi all,
I've heeded so much of your worthy advice in terms of footcare for day 1. However, my learning, or concerns, are as follows -
I have well worn in my chosen hiking shoes but had not yet worn them in such hot weather. Today, I have come to realise that these great shoes seem to retain...
It's almost time! Camino número uno.
I've just spent the night in Madrid airport awaiting my morning connection to San Sebastián....where I'm hoping to find Correos, post 4 months of luggage to Ivar, and then pick up some final gear in town, before finally (!) making my way to St Jean Pied de...
It's a contraversial topic, this! I've avoided posting asking for advice, but there are hundreds of threads already about the great sleeping bag debate. I'd rather not have to buy one as I have one at home. The last decathlon I went to didn't have liners. I'll see how I go!
Hi all
I've had a look through the threads and I'm sure it's there somewhere but could not locate. Can a vet please advise where there might be a reasonably priced one stop shop between San Sebastián and SJPDP where I can grab some last minute items? I've been travelling already for 4 months so...
Hi all
Have searched previous threads and not found anything yet so looking for those in the know;
I am starting my Camino from SJPDP on 20th april. Will be flying in from Italy and most direct flights are to San Sebastián, it is not easy to get to Biarritz from here.
And hints or tips on...
Hi Tom!
Thanks for your reply. I have 30 days, I would love to do the whole route, I do not think this would allow for rest days however. I lack knowledge on merging traditional sections to cover more ground in less time, but I am hoping that April-May will allow for most alburgues to be...
Hi all
I will be beginning my first Camino (Frances) on the 20/21st of April 2018.
I have been reading about it for some time and loving this forum. I am now in the lead up having difficult making final decision on some of the details. Your expertise is required:
-due to limited time I will be...
