Re: Just a tip
I definitely second this recommendation and it isn't just for getting from Spain to SJPP, the service will also pic you up at the airport in Biarittz and elsewhere. We used this service in June to get from that airport to SJPP and it ended up being 10 euro per person (just grab...
I'm 100% certain there will be a good deal of singing from my friend Lindsay and I on our walk, a good deal of it beatles! Maybe we'll see you. Or maybe I should say hear you. Hee. :roll: We'll be on the trail June through July.
Lindsay and I have allocated a large amount of time to do our first Camino this summer and it's quickly approaching. We purposefully scheduled way more time than we would need so that we could check out some of the sites not directly on the main trail if we wanted to, but what we've had to think...
This is a really great concern for me as well. I will be walking the Camino with a friend this summer and my parents are quite terrified that I will never return (They've seen the movie Taken. It's done wonders for their confidence :? ). We are ages 25 and 26. Like wilebl2 asked, are there...
Oh my. I just listened to Field of Stars. It gave me the shivers. How gorgeous! (I love fiddle music, but there's something special about that tune)
Thank's Sil!
This is really awesome everyone! So much music and so many varied responses too. If I come up with a final playlist I'll have to share it. <3
Keep em coming!
So here's a curious question, is there any music out there about the camino? The only song I know of is Santiago by Loreena McKennit (probably my favorite song of her's from before I even knew anything about the Camino). Do others know more? Also what songs remind you of the camino even if they...
My name and sig are a small theme. North star which is the guiding star of course, good for travelers, and metaphorical for an internal search. I normally use a different handle on net forums, but I thought this was appropriate for something camino related. <3
I'm pretty much always on twitter. Just as a warning, I'm a bit of a geek in so very many ways, but if you don't mind that then I'd love to follow/chat any of you on twitter. :wink:
@sekala
So I have two concerns both concerning sun, sunburns, and tans.
The first is a serious concern about how much sun you get on the camino. I'll be hiking the frances from june to july. I live near Boston so summer won't have been here long by the time I leave and the chance that I'll have gotten...
(haha yeah there's really nothing like it. A bit of a shock to come back into the co-ed world after that)
One question about this and maybe it's a silly one considering these are already places where we'll be performing our unmentionables, but is there any issue with contamination etc.? It is...
