    I will be walking my fourth winter french route starting Jan 11 till Feb 28. My winter pack weight has never exceeded 14 lbs. I have not been cold or uncomfortable. Trust the advice that has been posted!

    January/February Camino?

    I love winter caminos! I have done st Jean to the sea three times in the winter and am starting my fourth on Jan 11. Never had a problem with an albergue or a place to eat. I live in Florida USA and found the temp on the winter camino to be very comfortable. See you in Jan!

    Alternatives for evening footwear, including autumn/winter

    I have three winter camino Frances under my belt with number 4 coming up in January. Crocs are the way to go. Light, warmer then sandals and you can walk in them if you need a break from your boots. I walked with a pilgrim in early March who wore them the entire way instead of boots
