    Which 120km?

I would agree with Jan_D, I did the Camino a few years ago and that part was my favourite.

Has anyone had a haircut on the Camino?

I forgot about this thread, I ended up in a shop in Leon, not my best haircut but not my worst either. It was fun to try to communicate. I am working on my Spanish for my next Camino.

    Meals in Roncesvalles

I ate in Roncesvalles, worst food I had the entire Camino. I am planning on walking again this fall and I am going to walk past Roncesvalles this time to the next town.

    First time walkers, poles?

I agree, poles take some of the load off your legs and back and tone your arms. As trecile mentioned, they help you to avoid the swelling in the fingers I usually get on long hikes, I call it sausage fingers.

First Or Last Section Of The Camino

For me there is no contest, the first days between STPP and Burgos were easily my favorite days on the Camino.

    Eating in Roncesvalles

The worst meal on my whole Camino was Roncesvalles, both dinner and breakfast, I would walk many kilometers to avoid eating there again.

    Please rate my packing list

When I went last September I left my headlamp at home to save the weight, that was a mistake. I had no idea it wouldn't get light out until 8:00 in the morning. I found myself leaving usually around 6:30 as it was pretty hard to sleep when people start getting up at 5:00 and shuffling around...

Down throws at Costco are back

I ended up taking my sleeping bag and regretted it, if I ever go back I'm bringing my down throw.

    Camino is calling me back..

I finished last month and I saw many young ladies walking alone, I'm from Canada and I felt safer on the Camino than I do at home. I spent an average of 30 Euro's a day. Probably the most inexpensive vacation I have ever taken.

    Booking Albergues

I only booked ahead once, and it wasn't even necessary that night. One thing I did notice was a lot of people that had booked ahead didn't show up. This lead to people being turned away and beds being empty. I don't like the booking ahead for that reason, I saw way to many no shows. It must be...

    Camping on the Camino Frances

I finished a few weeks ago, I saw half a dozen people camping in the month I walked. It looked like a great option to the nightly snorefest, except for the whole not showering thing.

    New Painkiller Survey

I have tendinitis at the moment couldn't walk without ibuprofen in the morning. I use vino tinto in the evening to ease the pain. I'm in Leon right now and it seems a pretty popular combination. I'll detox my liver when I get home.

Pilgrims leaving St Jean, Roncesvalles or Pamplona

We were there yesterday and our Albergue didn't fill up until 4:00 pm. I had a great night in Logrono, my best yet on the Camino.
