They sent me a reply advising I can send a payment through paypal for an additional fee. I'm going to be nice to a Spanish lady at work and see if she can book on her card....then I'll give her the cash. Failing that I'll pay the extra fee! It seems from previous threads that their site is...
I've not seen any recent updates on the situation at Roncevalles....however I am still having problems on their website booking a reservation.
Has anyone successfully booked recently? I've managed to book airline and train tickets on my card - so not an issue with that.
More wise words Viranani.
Something that amazes me since joining the forum is the wisdom and knowledge of the members. Not just in Camino related matters - but overall outlooks on life.
I hope to one day be in such a position to pass on similar advice and knowledge to future generations of pilgrims.
Very wise words Nanc. Being open is what im forcing myself to do. I'm a natural organiser and worrier, so putting myself in a situation where I will have no or little control over what happens is just what I need.
Hi Julia - I've not done Clee Hill yet....but it's on the list (along with many others!) It would be nice to meet up with a fellow Camino-er - my Mum is the only person I know who's completed it and she lives in Australia! I am in full agreeance about Shropshire - theres so many amazing walks...
With 3 weeks to go until I set off on my first Camino France, my mind is a mixture of excitement and wonder with a side helping of nerves. I've even started dreaming about walking the route - odd as I've never done it o_O
Trying to focus on work is proving hard as I've been in "Holiday Mode"...
I normally take multivitamins and fish oil daily to maintain healthy levels. Protein powder is only for Gym work....so would not even consider taking that
Thanks for all the advice - i'll pack a months supply
Has anyone taken vitamins with them on the Camino France? Or bought the Spanish variety en-route? I've seen on a thread that someone took a bag of protein powder with them.....but i'll be leaving mine at home :D
I was just going to sleep in the clothes I plan to wear for the next day - it seems the done thing from what I've read. I've treated myself to an extra set of clothes to cut down on washing a bit
I bought a couple of pairs of Darn Tough and they were fine during training....however when I put them to the test of notching up some serious mileage - I suffered with massive multiple blisters (MMB - I'm copyrighting that acronym) this could have been partly due to the leather footwear and at...
Thanks for all the responses! The run went well and thought I "took it easy" I was only 2min away from my PB!!! I also went on a nice 22km hike yesterday through a mixture of paths / roads / fields with some fairly steep uphill climbs. The beauty of living in Shropshire!
I did however get chased...
I'm going to attempt returning to my local ParkRun at the weekend....but go for a light jog. My fitness has dropped rapidly and the stamina needs some increasing!
