    Najera pilgrim shop

There is a wonderful hiking/pilgrim shop in Santo Domingo - 1 day on from Najera. Right on the way and next to the big Albergue. All the good gear. Cooee

    The ticking clock

I walked my first Camino Frances in 2018 at age 66. I set off for my 5th in April this year. Would have liked to have started sooner, but I am grateful that I found out about the Camino at all. Best thing I have done lately to ‘stay young’ - see att photo, should have done this earlier too!!!😄

End of a really hot day on the Meseta, friend took this video in a bar

If a barman poured a beer like that - and with a head like that - in Oz, he would be hounded out of the bar!!!

Path flooded after Ustaritz on way to Espelette / Souraide

Walked the Baztan 26 -30 Apr. A wonderful remote walk. Fine Wx, but solid mist/fog over Belate. Please don’t tell anyone else how good it is and we can keep it to ourselves!!! Cooee

    RETHINK walking the Frances

I am currently in Luquin - and yes the Frances is busy, there are overflow people from Villamayor Mont Jardin here - but there are 2 free bunks in my room tonight. It is now 9.55 pm and just 45 min ago, at 8.10 pm, I rang ahead to Torres del Rio and got 3 beds for tomorrow for some Korean ladies...

Very busy Semana Santa at the Santiago Pilgrim Office

In two weeks I start from Bayonne on the Baztan, then the Frances to Ponferrada, then the Invierno to SdC. I used the web site and QR codes etc last year for the Frances and it was straightforward and quick. But these upcoming joined-together-Caminos look like they will challenge the computer...
