  • Finally shook hands with the man himself today, in Santiago. Encantado de conocerla, Ivar.
    Camino fever is setting in. Weighing and re-weighing items, refining packing list.
    Getting ready for Le Puy in May. First doing a bit of Frances - crazy it is, indeed. However a friend wants to experience Spain, and I think it will be good preparation for Le Puy to Conques, which by all accounts appears to be more of a challenge.
    Doing a second Camino Francés in stages. Currently paused at Castrojeriz. Unlikely to get another chance to carry on until Spring 2016.
    I'm heading back to the Camino, starting at Navarrete on Thursday 30 April 2015, aiming for Burgos. Buen Camino!
    Had a really enjoyable 5 days walking from Pamplona to Navarrete 20 to 24 September 2014.
    Walked (limped is a more accurate description) into Santiago de Compostela on 1 June 2014. What a wonderful experience!
    Finally booked a flight today - Gatwick to Bordeaux, Wed 23 April 2014. Hope to start out from SJPP to CdS on Thu 24 April 2014, D.V.
