My avatar pic was taken near the highest point of Utah's Bryce Canyon National Park -- over 9,100 feet (2,774 meters) -- in late June. There are still patches of snow in the shadows on either side of me!

My wife, brother-in-law and I will walk the CF in the fall of 2019.
I grew up roaming the woods and swamps of the American South. I'm even an Eagle Scout! (President John F. Kennedy signed my award.) Over the past three decades I've expanded my outdoor adventures to include Canada, northern Minnesota and many areas of California and the American Southwest. Have also traveled thru the west of Ireland and southern Spain.

I'm a real "people-person" with multiple degrees/certifications, and extensive experience in the helping professions. I'm also a bit empathic; I sense what others are feeling/experiencing. In the second half of my career, this background helped me to be quite successful in corporate OD/Training environments,
