gollygolly reacted to Bradypus's post in the thread "The Camino de Santiago defeats Nelson"! with Thank you Thank you.
A provocative title (for a Brit at least  ) about the busy Holy Week for Santiago and the pilgrim office. Despite some atrocious weather - Storm Nelson included - across Spain which led to the cancellation of many Semana Santa events...

gollygolly reacted to Tincatinker's post in the thread Camino Dating with Haha Haha.
I’ve been in a relationship with Camino since 2012. Still together 👍

The Almería Association has just published a book compiling the comments of female pilgrims from all over. The presentation of the book was last week in the Museo de las Peregrinaciones in Santiago. I know that some of us participated in this...

I haven't sought a Compostela or other certificate since 2014 and don't imagine I will do in the future - so it wouldn't matter to me if there were more or fewer, or none - though I can understand that others feel differently. By contrast, like...

The Camino, camino is. If some of the people who wander down it’s ways have no notion of camino that matters not a jot to camino. If the hoteliers, restaurateurs and merchants scattered along the ways are gazing, disgruntled, at the fortune...

gollygolly reacted to dick bird's post in the thread Primitivo. Vs Invierno? with Like Like.
Let me put it this way, whichever you choose, you won´t regret it. And you can always do the other one next time. Having done both, I can´t say there´s much to choose, except for that entry and first sight of the cathedral from the...

gollygolly reacted to peregrina2000's post in the thread Primitivo. Vs Invierno? with Buen Camino! Buen Camino!.
A few to start with. Primitivo has many many more pilgrims and more infrastructure. More infrastructure means more ways to break up the stages, though the Invierno has a fair number of possibilities for both long and short stages. Fewer...
