In March we hiked from Porto to Tomar to Fatima...after first hiking from Porto to Santiago. Walking in reverse following blue arrows to Fatima was amazing.

Just everything I read said walking north out of porto on the Central Route would involve a lot of road walking. The suggested solution was to walk the coastal route for the first day and transfer over to the central at Vila do Conde .. That's what we did and it was wonderful

When I hiked it in September 2021, when I got to the cross, I don't remember a big yellow pointed sign like the one in your picture telling me to go right. It was very confusing at that point on a somewhat foggy day. Luckily someone was up there with me at the time and guided me to the right.

Thank you, I really needed to hear this. Yes I will return to the Camino Portuguese for sure. And I like the way you did it. Starting in Porto and going to Santiago and then walking backwards and ending in tomar. I think that's what I will do when I come back. Great story great story
