Holding my breath in L.A. !

I fly tomorrow so I'm still holding my breath a little too but if you're vaccinated it looks like this won't be an issue. https://www.reuters.com/world/eu-moves-reintroduce-covid-travel-curbs-us-diplomats-2021-08-27/ BRUSSELS, Aug 27 (Reuters) - The European Union on Friday moved to reinstate...

SIM cards for non EU citizens doing Camino Frances landing in Paris

If you have a newer phone you could use an eSim. You can "load" them onto your phone digitally and then set your data to use the esim and leave your normal sim for phone/text. Depending on your plan, and what type of texting you do, this can work out super convenient (so I'm told - about to...

    "Toe Socks"

Toe socks were absolute game changers for me. Haven't had a blister since I started wearing them. Did 200 miles in 10 days a few years back without a single hot spot even. Before Injinji toe socks 8 miles and I would have several. I don't double sock either. Just toe socks and Aasics Gel...

Help! Nowhere to stay in or around San Sebastián

I'm going back to the Norte in April so was reading back through posts and came across this. I thought I would be remiss if I didn't post a warning that the Twelve Tribes is a fairly well known cult which I personally would steer clear of -...

Hat found outside Bad Mergentheim Germany

I met two women and a man at a restaurant on the way from Tauberbishofsheim to Bad Mergentheim. A few hours later, several miles outside Bad Mergentheim I found one of the women's hats. It's a tan hat with a wooden shell pin. I picked it up as I was sure it was too far back for them to travel...

Plastic Water Bottles and the Camino

I use a collapsible water bottle - saves room when it doesn't have water and weighs a lot less than a regular plastic bottle. Also clips onto my pack - https://www.rei.com/product/862538/vapur-element-water-bottle-34-fl-oz

"You talk too much about the Camino"

Do you know you can get a one year visa for Spain for non-lucrative purposes? http://www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados/CHICAGO/es/ServiciosConsulares/Serviciosconsularesenchicago/Documents/documentosvisados/nolucrativa.pdf Interestingly after one year you can apply to renew - renewals are...

    bras

I'm a DDD and love these Donna Karan bras - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0054M5C4S/?tag=casaivar02-20 - they go on like a normal bra, and the wire is more on the outside. They dry overnight given a reasonable amount of heat (ie a radiator). Awesome support and super comfy.

Irun to Bilbao or Bilbao to Santander?

Thanks nc6000 - did you think day 3 harder than day 1? Would you break it down differently doing it again? H.
