Safety for women on the Camino

Is pepper spray or mace legal in Spain? I lived in Germany about 10 years ago and was told it wasn't; I assumed it would be the same throughout Europe. Anyone know anything about this? And if it is legal, where to find it?

Tincatinker, It is nice to hear the type of foods I can look for on the CF. Similar to my diet here at home. I am up for the challenge and feeling much more confident now!

    Who is the panty-liner-in-the-boot-genius?

Certainly! This poor guy battled blisters and only briefly mentioned it, and he eventually bought new shoes, which seemed to solve his problem. His video is very good I think. I have watched it a few times:

    Who is the panty-liner-in-the-boot-genius?

I saw this on a Peregrinos youtube documentary (it is a great video, btw). I filed this tip away in case I find I need it.

Need help, I just lost my only child 3 months ago and feel called to the El Camino

Missing Mike, I have no advice to offer as I have yet to complete my own Camino, but I want to say that my hope for you is that you are embraced by the sacredness of it and that it will soak into the deepest parts of your grief. I am so sorry for the loss of your only son. I have many reasons...

Hello, J Willhaus! I think I spoke with your husband here on the forum. He also mentioned you were from Boise. I am about 18 months out, and it is nice to hear that is the timeframe you have taken to prepare. I will check out that app, thank you for the tip! Also, I would love to hear about...

    Eat, Sleep, Dream Camino!

Took another baby step today, albeit a pretty critical one. I just sent an email to my HR department to get the skinny on saving up leave, and how much I can take at one time. This is a big piece to the puzzle and will help start the plan in motion. :)

If you could point towards more information about sending food forward I would really appreciate it! I am new here and still figuring this place out. :) Yes, I have actually done a bit of research on Gluten Free resources in Europe. I was amazed to learn there is a gf bakery that will deliver...

It is disappointing when I see and hear people give the very real issue of food intolerances a bad name. It is never an expectation of mine that people cater to only me and my needs. I am already making a plan as to how I will try to navigate my Camino, being severely gluten intolerant, even if...
