I hiked the Camino from April 28-May 29.
I became friends with a wonderful man named Xaver from Germany. He was retired and used to work as an accountant.
He gave me his email and we even confirmed it with each other but it keeps bouncing back.
Has someone else on this forum come accross...
I absolutely love how you described it as jousting at the windmills in the mind. What a beautiful and eloquent way to describe the element of worrying. This is what I am hoping to accomplish on my camino. To simply go and be, instead of jousting with my mind. A sense of peace is all I pray for.
My uncle is telling me today that I need to apply for a VISa to travel in Spain for the 2 months I will be gone.
Can anyone verify if this is correct information?
I haven't come accross anything telling me that I need to get a VISA.
Any information is helpful.
Thank you.
Antonio.
Would you say that it is necessary to bring a combination lock in order to lock stuff up in lockers?
Is it a wotrthless item to bring? Not sure if there are lockers at the albergues or if there are enough albergues with lockers to warrant bringing a lock.
Any feedback on this?
Thanks.
Margaret!
Thank you for letting me know about this wonderful book. I spent yesterday evening at the library looking through this book. There was simply too much information to take in so I tried to focus on the tidbits that I found most interesting. I feel I will have a greater understanding of...
Thank you Mspath!
I will be spending a couple of hours at the library today after my exam to browse through the book you recommended, The Pilgrimage Road to Santiago: the complete Cultural Handbook.
Thanks again!
Thanks Journeycakes!
I am doing an online course at the same time as my Camino so I have to make sure to find decent Wifi along my trek. If the Albergues isn't good enough I can go to the bars. LOL Didn't think of that.
Than you so much.
Hello everyone,
My backpack is ready to go. 16.5 pounds which I am happy to say. Flights are booked. The first few days and last night accomodations are booked.
Just waiting out the next couple of weeks until I start my trek.
I am spending my time now looking up places to see along the...
From what I have read on this forum, every albergue has wifi access. But this doesnt seem to be reflected in this pdf. When we see an albergue that has internet access on this pdf does this imply having only physical computers to use? Are we to assume that every albergue has free wifi we can use...
And how long does it take to dry then? I am planning on getting the Permithrin in Saint Jean or Orisson as I cannot find it anywhere in Toronto. So I will be spraying my gear once I am there.
