    Camino Ingles walk 17-21 June 2015 . . . m

Hello everyone, Just wanted to share my thoughts and experiences having just completed walking the Camino Ingles yesterday. I arrived into Ferrol on 16th June, left walking the following morning of the 17th and arrived into Santiago yesterday, June 21st. I previously walked the Camino...

Last minute questions from a first timer...

Hi rlr9200, I'm walking the Ingles route from 17th-22nd June, maybe our paths will cross. I've walked the Camino Frances and Portugues the last two summers, so looking forward to taking this smaller path next month. Regards and Buen Camino

    Starting from Porto on Weds 18th . . .

Hi there, I'm flying into Porto tomorrow evening to start the Portugués on Wednesday morning (18th), I walked all of the Frances last summer, an incredible experience, so I'm somewhat relaxed about this new experience, yet it is quite surreal knowing I'll be back walking as a pilgrim again...

    Re: Camino shop in Porto

Thanks Albertinho for recommending that shop. I plan to take the coastal route from that area so I will check the shop out. Bom Caminho

    Re: Camino shop in Porto

Thank you amorfati1 for that recommendation. I will definitely follow that up. For the record, I didn't throw anything into the sea. What I meant to say was that I left my sticks AT the sea in Finisterre, like many pilgrims were doing. Some burned clothes etc., I left my sticks there.

    Re: Camino shop in Porto

Hi all, I'm walking from Porto to Santiago (and onto Muxia) starting June 18th. I walked the whole Camino Frances last summer so I'm pretty relaxed this time around in terms of what I can expect. Just wondering is there a shop in Porto where you can purchase some walking sticks? I left my...

RE: Two stamps per day from Sarria to SdC?

Hi there, Can someone give clarification on this issue? I just arrived in Sarria this morning and I have spoken to a lot of pilgrims who have said that you need to get 2 stamps per day for your credencial from Sarria into SdC. My understanding was that that only applied to pilgrims starting...

Re: Botafumerio in the cathedral . . .

Hi everyone, I've heard from other pilgrims that the Botafumerio doesn't operate at every Pilgrim's Mass at the Cathedral in Santiago, that it depends on donations?! Please say this isn't true?!!

    Average length of journeys . . .

Thanks everyone for your replies, just outside Santo Domingo at the moment . . . Yes, Scruffy1, that's a situation that I would love to avoid at all costs! I would like the Pilgrim's Mass to be relatively peaceful, not a whirlwind of hustle and bustle! :)

    Average length of journeys . . .

Hi all, Presently in Logrono, having walked about 160km from St Jean. Left Monday 17th, arrived here yesterday. Very happy with progress made so far. I'm just wondering could people give an estimated breakdown of the average time span that it takes to get from: Logrono - Burgos Burgos - Leon...

Appropriate times for walking during the day

Hi all, I hope everyone is well. I leave Dublin for Biarritz and onto SJPdP on this Weds 12th. It's all a bit surreal to think I'll have started my Camino in a few days! Getting a bit nervous but I think that's only natural! From what I've gathered, it's best to walk first thing in the...

Bayonne to SJPdP via TER line 62 in June 2013

Thanks you very much for that. ASTI is now a bus journey, does this add extra time onto the journey to St Jean in comparison to the train journey (which is about 1hr, 20mins). I would like to know as I would have to give my hostel in St Jean an e.t.a. Thanks.

    Bayonne

Hi there, From my readings of the forums, it seems the Hotel Monte-Carlo is the handiest place, it's meant to be very nice and it's just opposite the train station itself, which eases any worries trying to find that! Buen Camino!
