    What to wear in bed?

Shorts and lightweight tshirt...it can get warm inside a sleeping bag. And leggings when it gets really cold.

    Carrying my stuff--

Thank you Kelly for sharing your thoughts. I was 63 when i did the Peace of Walk and carried my backpack all the way..7 kg, though i could probably got away with 5-6 kg. And you were quiet right. it gives you the freedom and for me it gives me the balance to walk steadier and knowing all my...

    Safety for single female pilgrim?

Felt safe walking alone from most of the times when my friend and I split up from Sarria to St. James, but you see some stragglers along the way and some big and small groups. Met a Spanish lady along the way and ended up walking together until the final journey. And i was 63 then.

Comment by 'Isa R' in media 'Memorial to Civil War victims April 17, 2018'

I walked in May-June 2016 and don't recall seeing this. Which town is it located?

New albergue Australian owned in Trabadelo

Good luck Susi. It's a shame your Albergue was not opened last year and could have said Good day mate to you. Am from Adelaide...and hoping to do the Camino again. Your place looks lovely.

    Incident after Baamonde

Stay safe Peregrina2000 and all the rest of the Peregrinos/Peregrinas. I did the Camino May-June 2016 with another friend, but decided to split b4 Saria, walked on my own the rest of the way, but made sure that there are walkers before and after me and still had my own personal space. Buen Camino.

    Women specific backpacks?

No, I used Aarn made in New Zealand. Compact and light.

A pilgrim was attacked by a robber

So sad if this is becoming a problem and again in Los Arcos. After I heard about the death of the Korean girl a year ago, I walked the Camino with more awareness. There were times I walked alone but made sure that there were other pilgrims ahead of me and behind. Most of the time I felt safe.

    Headlamp or tiny flashlight?

H Headlamps are great for walking but not in the Albergue when one goes to toilet, too bright. Just use your phone in the Albergue or a small penlight. Good luck and Buen Camino

    Valcarlos route

I'd like to know too. I have done the Napoleons route last year and do the Valcarlos next time. I have heard it's a lot easier. Depends on the weather, as some of the trails get flooded when it's raining heavily.

    CF in 26 days?

It can be done if you are pushing for time. Some pilgrims walk 30 to 45 km a day and some are short stages only. I found that the first stage was the hardest and the longest. Camino pilgrim is not a race, give yourself plenty of rest and enjoy the nature and company of other pilgrims. Buen Camino

    Tipping etc

No tipping required. No info on Portugal because I have not been there. Buen Camino

Anxious debate with myself about the Camino

Advice are there for you to read and in the end it's still your decision on what's right for you. You can be practical and spiritual at the same time. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. And there would be days when you question yourself why you are doing the pilgrim and only you can...

    Let's talk weight... BODY weight

Hmmm...lots of walking, you toned up. Lost 2 kg an added bonus, but then I weigh only 54 kg. And not a heavy eater or drink alcohol. And losing weight was not intentional. Buen Camino
