    Casa Ivar Dear all

I definitely benefitted from this Forum as I planned my 2020-oops-delayed-to-2021 Camino and am sad I wasn't able to meet you in person when I arrived in Santiago. Adding in my thanks for all you do! One suggestion - as a fairly low-tech person, perhaps a brief how-to on the home page could be...

COVID COVID test to return to USA

If you are still in the USA and not yet on the Camino, another option is to bring a rapid antigen test with you. Buy your test kit through and they will proctor your self-test (smartphone or other device with a camera and good internet connection needed) whenever you log in and quickly...

    Compostelas for Dummies

Kudos first for posting a "how-to" for obtaining the Compostela. I only wish it had been posted prior to my arrival in Santiago. As a regular reader of this Forum for two years now, I had no idea I was supposed to register online ahead of time. The security guard told us to come back tomorrow...

Pack it in, pack it out

To all fellow pilgrims, I wish to say that my first Camino (Portuguese Coastal) was wonderful and I am still processing the many blessings. However, I was very sad to see one thing: many tissues and wipes on the ground where people stepped off the route to relieve themselves. Please, let's...

Please, fellow pilgrims...Leave No Trace as you walk your Camino. I was sad to see so many tissues and wipes lying on the ground where people stepped off the route to relieve themselves. Let's take better care of God's beautiful creation.

Masks, Masks, and Good Covid Hygeine

Totally agree, having just stepped off the Camino Portuguese last week. Masks are the standard in Spain as opposed to an oddity in many parts of my country (USA). I felt safe, welcomed, and respected my whole time in Spain.

Flying between Spanish cities covid query

Just took 2 Iberia flights: Madrid to Vigo and SdeC to Madrid. No testing, no checking of health form or vaccination status on either flight.

Best way to get to Baiona?

I hope to start my first Camino in Baiona next year. I am coming from USA and would like to know the best way to get to Baiona. Fares are cheaper for me to fly into Madrid than Porto, but I will consider either option. Need advice on getting to Baiona once I land - train? bus? plane? all...
