    Using Trekking Poles

Thanks for the info. I used the black Diamond that had an ergo grip last year but not as exaggerated as the pacer pole. I’m definitely going to order a set of these. I believe trekking poles or at least a walking stick is a must. Thanks, again!

    Using Trekking Poles

I used them last year for the first time and they were of great help. The only issue I had was that my hands would go numb, so I am sure it was holding too tight. I am going back next year, and I will use them, again, because I needed them for balance on the uphill hikes as well as on the...

    A good hat.....

I guess I did not purchase the correct Tilley, but I never did like mine. I bought a SunDay hat that I love....vented, great wicking, the brim is not too wide plus it has slots in the outer head band that will firmly hold your sunglasses. I lost my first one, but I replaced it with the exact...

    Luggage advice needed 2022

I used Ivar’s service, and it was super. His warehouse is close to the cathedral. I will definitely do it, again! I would also suggest shipping from Spain. I used French postal service, and it was very expensive.

OBSOLETE COVID THREAD What is needed to enter France from US?

My first Camino starts on July 4th from SJPdP. I am arriving in Paris on the 2nd. Seeing that I do not need a covid test to return to the US, I want to make sure of my needs for my arrival in Paris. I am fully vaccinated with both booster shots. I think all I need is a dPLF form and my...

    Flying in to Paris

I am going to take my time getting to SJPDP. I am not leaving until 11:24am the next day. When I fly over, I am checking my backpack to Paris and traveling with a smaller backpack with my non-hiking clothes and shoes. I am staying about 3 months in Spain, so I am in no hurry. Gathering all my...

    Flying in to Paris

I am staying at the Ibis Styles Bayonne Centre Gare. It is a little pricey but I wanted a good night's sleep after a long trip from the states. I was told it is only 2 blocks from the train station.
