I was amused this morning with this juxtaposition: It might be a very short walk but the ladders nearly were my end twice.

actually a combination of heat, dehydration and stupidity on my part. but i like the idea of it being frivolous. there really is no dangerous stage along the Camino apart from our lack of preparation, awareness and bad judgement on a particular...

Sad news, Nely closes her albergue in Almería, La Estrella del Camino. Here's her message: Donativo doesn't work: recent pilgrims were leaving not more than €2 . And that includes breakfast! In February, she started asking €20 per person, and...

Juliana K reacted to peregrina2000's post in the thread My Stages on the Lana, 2023 with Thank you Thank you.
A Camino friend just asked me about stages and accommodation on the Lana, which I walked last year. I realized I hadn’t posted a day-by-day, just a general post with some overall impressions. So here’s the day-by-day. I also recorded the tracks...

Or fly into Bayonne and start walking from there! It’s a beautiful walk along the coastline to Irun and you can literally start from the airport without any need for a bus or train

Juliana K reacted to peregrina2000's post in the thread Primitivo. Vs Invierno? with Like Like.
A few to start with. Primitivo has many many more pilgrims and more infrastructure. More infrastructure means more ways to break up the stages, though the Invierno has a fair number of possibilities for both long and short stages. Fewer...

Hi currently on the vdlp and thought following might be useful to others. I’m only on day 3 so will try to update from time to time. Have stopped in Guillena, Castilblanco de los Arroyos and Almaden de la plata. Mix of private and municipal...
