Reverse route
I did one day backwards, went from Santiago to Oliveroa (sp) with my friends but then the next day went back to Santiago to catch my train. The navigation was hard and I backtracked a fair bit. Walking in April... booking accommodation essential?
I agree that not much gear is needed in April - I had a fully lined raincoat this April and sweated in it when it rained (one full day of hard rain and some showers in 21 days) - considering a lighter one for same-time-next-year. New albergue in Villares de Órbigo
My friends and I stayed in this lovely albergue in April of this year - it is clean and fresh and friendly - a good night's sleep and toast for breakfast.
