Camino Norte or repeat Camino Frances
Hello I would weigh in with the u derstanding that I have only done the Norte but I did it with others who had done the Frances. I'm sure everything your coffee mates told you is totally true. I just bought some salomon low profile water proof hikers and they are really great. I bought them from rei. Used them for a trip in ireland where it's pretty much always raining and my feet stayed nice and dry though the outer shoe was getting lots of water. Recommend these guys for sure. I'm not sure about new zealand but I frequently use Skyscanner app to look for fares and also Google flights can come up with some good #s. Be prepared for an amazing hike. The 1st week is challenging but the scenery and tortias make it all worth while. My favorite moment is walking from irun then coming around the curve to see the spectacular San sebastian coastline in all its glory. Breath-taking. Buen camino- keith duke scott
