Zoula, suggestion: make a good attempt to stay at Casa de Fernanda, between Barcelos and Ponte de Lima. WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL place to be. Jocinta and Fernanda are just such great hosts. Best to you.
Boa Camino
Wrote a bit about my most emotional places a bit before in this wonderful thread. That was then, this is now: the most emotional place for me is..... Doing this again.... my heart yearns for more.
Best to you all.
Before I write about my most emotional moments, I'd like to thank everyone who has written on this topic. The Camino that I walked last summer meant so much to me. I'm sure I'm in good company in saying that the Camino experience is with us every day and each hour!! Thank you Forum members, and...
Whoops, pushed the send button before I was done....
like the camino has returned to my heart, rather than having left it.
I'll always be...walking to Santiago, wherever I am.
"Everything at home will be the same, you are the only one that has changed." That (and your post!!) really resonated with me!! Wow!! I walked the Portuguese for 30 days in June-July. Had a remarkable, beautiful, blissful......perfect existence and experience. Every step. Each day was utterly...

Well. I am just stunned with your "one word" video. So touching, moving, beautiful, determined, heartfelt, sincere. Every word fits aspects of what I experienced!! Wonderful. I finished, if that's the right way to say it...my first camino this last July. I'm back home and every step I now take...
A tip--
A tip-- I walked only from Porto onwards. Very rural areas and not many ATM's along the way, so make sure you have enough euros for several days between the larger cities.
I would strongly recommend the Porto-Santiago CP!! I did some minimal pre-trip research and 90% (since that seems to be a popular number in this thread) said that Lisbon to Porto was more asphalt and highways and had limited accommodations. So, I didn't do it.
I flew into Porto, stayed three...
Yes, "Vicarie Pro", meaning "in memory of". When I requested a pilgrims passport, the fellow who administered the process emailed me back personally and shared about the Vicarie Pro (after the official "your request has been received" email.) I was totally new to this camino stuff and was very...
For, me, the amount of trash was a shock to see. I would ask myself, "Did that person really throw that protein bar wrapper on the path to reduce weight in the pack?" Or the bicycle flat tire left by the way. Really? That kind of behavior is not my style of thoughtfulness (meaning, I'm sure the...
