My bedbug bites from Santiago this summer only showed up 5 days later and some kept showing for 4 more days. Delayed reactions are possible if you are a person who isn't allergic to anything in general. I'd suggest taking all the possible precautions, looking for any bedbug signs in your bedroom...
Aragones for sure. I lived in Aragon for a while and walked many parts of it - it is absolutely stunning. If you do decide to walk it, take the route through San Juan de la Peña, it is the most impressive monument I had ever seen and the views are amazing, the extra kms are worth it!
From what I have read it is a very steep descent, I walk without poles so I'm worried and maybe even considering taking a taxi and somehow skipping it but I'm not willing to give up more than 5km to a taxi ride, is there a cafe or something right before that descent? And to those who have done...
Daypack (which will be my main one because the walk is so short) is coming with me, but the fancy backpack-that-will-hurt-your-back-if-you-walk-10km-with-it & large travel/hiking backpack go into storage. :D
As KinkyOne said, yes. If you walk through Fisterra and go the 100+kms with 2 stamps a day, you can get the compostela.
Why not leave the things with Ivar? Well, it would cost me 45 euros (big bag+small bag) which seems a bit much for much for only 7 days so I'm looking for alternatives.
So I'm only doing SdC-Fisterre-Muxia because I didn't have the time last time, I have planned to do it in about 7 days including all the extra days for just relaxing in Muxia. Since my stay on the camino will be so short, I don't think that bringing my bags (One hiking backpack + a small...
So unexpectedly I now have 10 spare days between my Europe travels at the beginning of September. I travel only with hand luggage (aka the trusty 40L hiking backpack) and I absolutely do not have space for a sleeping bag or liner which I would have no use for outside of the camino; however, the...
I walked from Burgos last year to Santiago but now I feel like I'd like to return and finish my walk to Finisterre and Muxia. I still have quite a bit of space in my credential and I'd love to keep using it from Santiago onwards when I continue my walk, and it'd be nice to have all my stamps...
Yesterday I had a really sore throat so I went to the farmacy to get some pills. I guess they aren't working on me, I just woke up with a closed throat unable to swallow anything so I guess it's time for some antibiotics. Does anyone know an English speaking doctor in Bilbao?
I just got a ticket for the way back from my first try on the camino but I only just realized that I have no idea from which platform it leaves, sadly it's so early that the information place wont be open yet. So I'm wondering: Does Alsa usually leave from a concrete platform? Is there a way I...
Thanks for all the information. :) I just made a reservation and now I can feel somewhat calm about this.
This question is not really on the same theme with the topic when I posted it but in case someone still peeks in here and could comment on this - would it be too weird to not take a...
Thank you everyone for the help!
I'll get dropped off somewhere around midday and there are some last busses going after that but looks like I will only be in Sarria past 9 in the evening so I'll have to make a reservation somewhere.
I was also if there is anything I should know about the bus...
I'm supposed to start my first steps on the camino this weekend but suddenly I'm terrified so I'd like to hear some advice - what would you do?
This time around I'd only like to walk from Sarria to Santjago de Compostela because I feel like a shorter distance with more people would make me feel...
