Planning an expedition for novice cyclists
do a google search on - camino de santiago - you will get good sites that have lot of info about walking and biking. However I find that it is a journey that lends itself to a huge amount of planning - if that is what you need for your course.- Lesliegilmour

Deaf pilgrims?
I never met any deaf pilgrims on the camino, however I met one blind guy who was walking with a group, (he made it to santiago faster than me) and one child on a wheelchair being helped by his family.
