    I am in the same situation as you. Due to a commitment, I cannot leave for the Camino before Oct. 15. My only worry is: Will there be open albergues (on the Port./Frances)? You idea of a shorter Camino is interesting.

    It's definitely possible, and many pilgrims, including Canadians are walking right now. Look for the yellow "Live from the Camino" tags on the threads. Also the "Covid and the Camino" subforum has lots of good information for walking now...

    You will categorically not need a sleeping bag. I, being aged, well funded and not (according to Mrs Henrythedog) sufficiently house-trained to share a room with, always use private accommodation. Sleeping bags are not needed.
