Where to buy toe socks along the Camino Frances?
I am on the Frances now. I brought my Ininji liners with me but I did see them in a small outdoor shop in Logrono I think, while buying new rubber tips for my poles, so seems they are available on the Frances.- Maureen D

Challenge with accommodations
On the Frances now. Accomodation tight between SJPdP and Pamplona. Ronsavalles was full ( and turning pilgrims away on last Thursday evening). SJPdP also very full. My favorite foam ear plugs are Flents Quiet Please (Amazon). I supply my friends as once they try them they want more. Is it easier just to fly to Madrid to start the Frances?
Not sure where you live in the US, but I live in Vermont and found flying from Montreal much cheaper than Boston or NY for this trip (I fly a fair amount and usually Montreal is more expensive). I booked April tickets yesterday to fly Montreal to Biarritz via Paris and return home in May...- Maureen D

Down quilt
I bought one on sale from Eddie Bauer (travel throw that folds into pillow), paid $20. It is synthetic fill but quite light.
