  • Hi Frank, I arranged mine in advance. I know rooms and beds ran out in Cadavo Baleira a few days ago. Both the Albergue and the hotel were full so some people had to add 9km to their walk to reach accommodation in Castroverde.
Hi Maureen. Hope to get to Ribadeo sometime next week maybe Wednesday. How have you found getting accommodation? Frank
Hi Maureen thanks for your reply. I obviously haven't walked this way either and was doing so because some friends walked from Leon last year and felt it was just so busy and hot. But road less travelled appears to have less accommodation available. Have you been able to arrange places to stay all along?
Hi Maureen I plan to fly to Santander and on to Oviedo/Gijon July 15 and begin walk. I would like to get to Santiago by 24/25 July. Is that realistic? Frank Glackin
Tomorrow I travel to Santiago via Belfast, Dublin and Madrid. On Thursday I will take the bus to Oviedo and on Friday I start walking! The plan is to arrive in Santiago on 24 July and remain there until 26 July.
