When I was there they would say the countries of the pilgrim but not each individual name. I'm not sure how they could know apart from the passes that were given at the office.
Last September, i heard they were handing some but they don't promote them. You just ask for a pass when you get your compostela and if they still have some, they'll give you one, but only one. Special section, front row. Botafumeiro swung for me last time... Magical. 😊
Thanks! However yours is 13 days including the walk out of Porto. I'm in Vila de Conde now and have a maximum of 10 more days ahead of me. I'm also considering crossing to the central but I'm not sure. So many options! 😊
Hi guys! I'm in Porto right now and booked into Vila do Conde tomorrow. I have a total of 11 days available for walking or 10 and 1 rest. I'm looking for the best way to spread the coastal mileage evenly. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!
Hey guys!
I've seen Fisterra in the past and don't really want to go there again. I'm looking for the best itinerary from Santiago to Muxia in about 3 days? Thanks Peregrinos 😊
So, I understand the botafumeiro is only officially used during official celebrations, but I also gather that it's also used way more than this because of benefactors 'buying' the service. I was wondering which daily pilgrims mass I should attend in order to get the most chances to see it in...
417k in ribadesella tonight so I've decided that my half way point is going to be mid walk tomorrow, which is a 38k ribadesella-Villaviciosa. We'll see in a few weeks upon touching the Santiago cathedral if I was on the spot or not 😊
Hey guys! I'm sure it's been adressed before but can't find anything on the subject. I know that on the norte, there's no official halfway point marker like in Sahagún on the francés, but anybody knows what is considered as the known halfway point? I'm in Llanes now nearing 400 km and I feel...
Thank you all for your precious suggestions. With availability, I had to go with one night in san sebastian, then Blai Blai in Zarautz and then the Izarbide albergue in Ibir Auza. I will also try to go through de Flysch route. You guys think it's doable?
I start in Irun. Booked already Irun and San Sebastian and depending on the availabilty of Izarbide, I might do an extra night in SS then on to Getaria (or Zarautz, not sure) before Izarbide. Deba is booked. Markina looked pretty booked as well but I don't want either to prebook too many days in...
