I remember this section very clearly, there was certainly a different atmosphere walking through those pine plantations....peaceful :) ….and of course the leg burn from the hill ;)
Acebo to Ponferrada via Molinaseca, another amazing view and my goodness that rocky descent. We certainly learnt to go slow that day, there were many an accidental slips on those smoothe rocks.
Another alternate route option we chose between Villafranca de Bierzo to Los Harrerias! It was a big climb early in the morning. But what a view it was 🤗
I thought I might share our own photo looking out onto Hornillos del Camino 🤗 we remember there was a fantastic Irish chap who was busking just around the bend. It was brilliant having a tune whilst walking down that hill!
After a long wet day of walking (due to taking a alternate route 😳😏) recommended by my parents 😏🤣, what better way to end it with the Wine fountain of Irache!
🤗
That very first day....I will forever stand by my statement to Clare on the climb to Orisson “I feel like my lungs have jumped out of my body and are slapping me in the face” 🤣😊 what a view though, of the Albergue and the scenery🤭😏
😏
The first proper view we had of Castrojeriz with that impressive castle! And then of course the most amazing view from on top of the Castillo, that was a very fun climb 👍

Bon/Buen Camino Everyone!
My partner and I are from Australia and are heading off from St Jean in two days, on our 1st camino! We have spent the last few days exploring Paris on foot, and feel like we have already started the Camino with all the walking we have done! We have our hearts and...
