    €5.60 for a cappuccino and a chicken Caesar baguette in Piraeus, Greece this morning. That's in a cheap chain coffee and snack place. You could easily pay double around the corner.

    I think there are quite a lot of regional variations. When I was in Almeria, a lot of places offered a jarra with a few tapas to share and it was more like a jug, served with several glasses to share.

    You can do it anytime before you arrive. These days there aren't a lot of queues. The day before or before you set off in the morning is fine, or earlier if you prefer.
