    Really Dumb Albergue Question. Sorry.

    I wear polypro boxers and simply wear those to the shower. Often, I'll drop them on the shower floor to give them a quick wash underfoot and put on a dry clean pair afterwards.

    Quick bit of advice

    My experiences are from 2017 and I was surprised that there were not nearly as many places to stop for "second breakfast". I would estimate that we had this meal perhaps half of the days. Still, the vdlp was an amazing journey.

    How much Spanish do you need on the VDLP

    My cousin and I walked VDLP in 2017 and had a similar or lesser Spanish "skillset". I was initially planning on walking by myself but was glad to have a companion. It went fairly smoothly. We did have two encounters with livestock dogs and I would not want to do that by myself.

    This is such a great suggestion! We walked del Norte (finishing June 10th) and were shocked at the number of walkers and crowds beginning at Arzua -- do anything you can do to keep off of the France route until the last minute!
