    Try NOK instead of Vaseline. Much better. Also buy Hikers Wool from New Zealand. There is nothing better to cushion your feet if you feel a hot spot or anyplace where you may need some cushioning.

    I have a Montbell Alpine Down Hugger. It opens up like a blanket. Weighs 16 oz and goes down to 50 degrees F. I love it. Also check out ZPacks online. I believe they carry one now.

    Does the TSA allow trekking poles as "carry on" baggage?

    I had the kind of poles (Black Diamond Ultra Distance Z0Pole Trekking Poles) that get small enough to go into my pack in their own bag and had rubber tips on the poles. I was able to take them in my carry-on pack both to and from Spain from the United States.

    Severe Sleep Apnea, DR advises not to sleep w/o a CPAP machine

    I have used a mouth piece. It doesn't work as well as the CPAP does. I used it on my last Camino, but I will carry my new Transcend Auto Travel CPAP Machine with EZEX which only weighs a little over 1 pound including the charger on my next one. I sleep much better.

    Beware of that Lasar surgery. It did nothing to help me and caused me problems for at least a year. CPAP is the way to go. You can get a very small CPAP machine (Transcend Auto Travel CPAP Machine with EZEX) that weighs about a pound.

    Definitely buy Nok and Hiker's Wool (http://www.hikerswool.co.nz/). I think Hikers Wool has a source in America, but if you buy enough they ship for free from NZ at less per package. I love this stuff and I buy enough to share with people who are having feet problems.

    If you are talking about calling your family, download Skype and put $10 - $15 credit on the phone. It will last the whole time. I have a revolving account and have not used up the initial $10. You can call whenever you are near a wifi spot. Skype is much less expensive than the minutes on...

    Thanks. I just use EsOfficio undies because they dry so fast and are so light. Wow, was that too much information. I guess I will just have to hope my legs dont chaife.

    Really? That is only 5.5 ounces. Amazing! Wonderful! Do they run roomy. Trying to decide on the size. Also where do you get boy-cut underwear that is fast drying and light weight?
