I suggest the Erva Doce guest house on the canal. Ask the owner to make you fresh sardine for dinner. You will enjoy a quiet night rest at this centrally located pension. I enjoyed it. Buen Camino.

I was on the Camino Frances during all of September. Like Falcon said, I always found a bed. Sometimes you've gotta stop a little earlier or make a reservation. I wouldn't blame the Camino.
