My wife and me were using Black Diamond ultralight carbon folding poles for last three Camino. It is very light and had no issue of TSA or even some albergues where ask to leave poles at the entrance.
I strongly recommend OsmAND. You can download 7 maps for free and you never lost with this app. Even you can find what you want like market, tourism place, and so on. It is offline map based app, so no need connection. Also you can use this app as a navigator when you driving.

Actually I used Black Diamond Ultra Distance Trekking Pole for my 3 times Camino, and will bring it again next year. It is super light(about 10oz/pair) and can fold and put inside backpack. But I think it is no more available. The similar one is Black Diamond distance Z trekking pole. Not FLZ...
I did similar way. I put every valuable things in small bag and put the bag inside of my sleeping bag. So far so good. But there is no absolute solution~
I walked three times of CF, All of those, it took 27 days from SJPdP to Santiago. I lost 20, 15, 20 pound even I ate well & drink well. I'm middle 50's with 5'10". But the funny thing was my wife lose not even one pound. She always walked with me, ate & drank with me... Hmm
