I started my last Camino on my own. The first day was the only day I walked on my own, even then I had company on and off. That evening I dined with new friends and although these friends change from time to time I never walked on my own.
If it helps I am 5'6", female of average weight, fit for my age, I'm 66, and carry about 7kgs ( about 15.5lbs old money) with water, and have never struggled with the weight.
