John Brierley is seriously ill - an invitation to send messages of thanks and support.

This is very sad news indeed. John's guide books have given confidence to so many setting of on the Camino for the first time. The world of the Camino owes him a very great deal 🙏🏻

Alert Camino Coastal Litoral North from Esponse

It's terrible to hear that - and along with so many other stories here and on other threads. I hope it does not colour your view of the Camino/Portugal altogether. I walked the Littoral Route and found it lovely, but it is very isolated; so it is depressing that these sorts of miserable...

Muxiana certificate, without going to Finisterre

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had walked from Santiago to Muxía and obtained a Muxiana certificate upon their arrival. I have seen advice that you have to walk via Finisterre/Lires to qualify for a Muxiana; is it possible to go straight to Muxía and still obtain a Muxiana? Many Thanks, Paul

The Celtic Camino - Any Advice?

Hi All, To those of you who have hiked The Celtic Camino [i.e. the Camino Inglés + a pilgrim way in Ireland], can you tell me if it was indeed possible to attain a Compostella from the pilgrim office in Santiago? I have hiked the Kerry Camino [Tralee to Dingle] and have the certificate to prove...

Actually, that Kerry Camino looks great. I'd never even heard of it [I'm from the opposite end of the country]. Thanks again!

    The Celtic Camino

@Flog I was thinking of the very southerly routes - Slí Ár Sinsear looks interesting, especially with the Spanish connection there. I'm wondering how those who have done this fared for getting stamps? And if they immediately went from Ireland [roughly at the end of their route there] to begin...

    The Celtic Camino

For those of you who have walked The Celtic Camino [25Km in Ireland + El Camino Inglés], can you please advise as to a good Irish stage of this Camino? I am firstly concerned with getting my Credencial stamped with a sello/séala that will be recognized by the Santiago Compostella office. Any...

Forum Book Club - 2.2: Northbound (Paul McGranaghan)

Hello, I was the author of this travel memoir. Now, let me make it clear: You are indeed free to dislike whatever you like. I’ve zero problem if you did not like the book. It’s worth pointing out that I didn’t write this memoir with anyone in mind, but as a challenge to myself to get it on...
