    Albergue Alpriate closed permanently

I walked from SJDP to Santiago in 2016. As a solo female . I walked then in considerable pain and limitations....this time more so. So I worry that I will appear an easy target for those looking to harm. Thank you for your suggestion and honesty

    Albergue Alpriate closed permanently

I start walking from Lisbon on April 19th. A solo female pilgrim. My plan heading to Alpriate as the new route won't be open yet. I've read of the attacks in areas leaving Lisbon and am concerned. I've also been following Portuguese news . Stories of increasing crime.

    Do these earplugs work?

With all of my ailments sleep of any kind is very difficult to achieve...even in the best environment. I went and had a custom pair made at a local hearing aide office. Cost about 140 Canadian. Huge difference and comfortable to wear.

I've searched everywhere for one to purchase. I waited too long and the ones I've found are close to € 1000. And I'd never get...

I understand and as sadly the two incidents I've shared illustrates that it's not just Portugal as the first was on the North route in Spain. I love the Camino experience! The friends I made in 2016 remain close friends to this day. I value this forum and its info. I just think it's important...

Safety and Security on The Camino
