Have you checked the Wise Pilgrim App? It's a great camino app with a lot of details you might enjoy.

Yes, the Wise Pilgrim app provides wonderful information about the area where you are, the distance to the next stop - I had to pay for it, but seems totally worth it.

As a practicing Christian, I am not plaining on doing anything specifically Christain on the road. I understand that some points bare a special significance to other believers. If I might suggest, try to do what I do - talk to God while you walk and see waht happens. You might feel like an idiot...

UPDATE: I paid via PayPal and it was perfect. I used the same card I tried on the website, but via PayPal it went through smoothly and now I have a ticket to Pamplona and after that to St. Jean Pied de Port, when I will begin my adventure.

book ahead - have your adventures in other ways. Not having a bed is not an adventure I want to experience.

It seems good to book in advance, there is no way to be sure of a bed with the popularity of the Camino many Pilgrims are arriving everyday. Knowing you have a bed (if you're certain of your dates) would mean one less thing to worry about.

I have tried to purchase a ticket online for April 20 - is this necessary? Could I buy a ticket on the day? The Alsa website hasn't been working for the passed week, I tried regularly. Could I buy a ticket on the day? Will there definitely be space on the bus or is it better to buy ahead?
