    Don't spend too much, you may have trouble shipping them at end of trip and woun't want to abandon an expensive set - I made that mistake - and spent way to much getting them home.

    Chiming in for Astorga - unless you have not yet indulged in stop overs in Burgos and Leon. The cathedrals and museums are worth the time.

    a lot of flights have a stop over in Madrid - so you might build a side trip around that. Could city hop by train to or from your destination. I found less expensive international flights from the U. S. to Ireland - so flew there and enjoyed a side trip - then an inexpensive Ryan Air flight...

    I planned an extra month in Spain so I could explore the Moorish architecture in southern cities. we also took a few days in morocco ( a short ferry ride) See Majorca. Take a train to Portugal - (hike the Portugese?) check out the beaches. So much to see, so little time
