Hi Melissa,
I will be leaving Oviedo on the 20th of September. Last year i walked the Camino Frances in a little over 4 weeks. Anytime I walked over 35km in a day - I certainly noticed it but a few easier days mixed in meant it was very doable. I don't envisage a bed race at this time but I...
Lots of good if at times conflicting advice Elisha, I sprained my ankle badly 3 weeks ago. I actually heard the rip of ligaments!! Gave it 6 days AND I bought new mid height boots rather than walking shoes. Have found them to be so supportive. Now walking 6/7 miles a day. I leave for St. Jean...
I (we) hope to do the Napoleon route if possible. Thoroughly enjoyed it last year with blue skies and gentle warmth. I realise though that this is the exception rather than the rule! Though as I badly sprained my ankle two weeks ago a lower route at the beginning might be the most sensible- but...
Hi Elisha, You will find so many people willing to help you throughout the Camino. The most common advice given is also the best - take it REAL SLOW at start. I am starting in St. Jean on 26TH April and sprained my ankle badly two weeks ago - its still swollen but i am hopeful I will be able to...
Like the others that have posted a response, I think you will be well looked after on the Camino and safety will not be an issue for you and child but I think you may experience difficulties with some of the terrain which, in places would be tough taking a buggy through. Though I have no doubt...
Hi Ivan, I am sure you are starting to get excited as the time draws closer to your departure for the Camino. I was looking at the calendar and I notice that you have an entry for every day on the Camino. Would you consider just putting in your start date as the Calendar will be very full and...
Strong elastic bands!!! I rolled up my tops, bottoms socks and any other pieces of clothing with elastic bands- made finding stuff much easier and a stroll to take out and repack I'd necessary during the day.
I would agree with many of the posts- don't skip but rather start a little further along ( e.g. Logrono) Part of the experience is meeting and travelling with the other peregrinos. If you are "racing" along you will have little time to interact with them.

Hi all,
I have noticed over the past few days a few people putting on the Calendar ALL the days that they will be on the Camino!
The calendar is getting very congested. Could I suggest that we all just put in the day that we start the Camoino?
Paul
