    Courier for Bike Box

You might find what you need on the Correos website https://www.elcaminoconcorreos.com/en/ Otherwise I find couriers Seur (DPD outside Spain) to be good, MRW is good. From personal experience I avoid GLS. Then there is always UPS or DHL but are usually more expensive.

Today would have been my first day on the camino.

I hope so too. Things are getting better. Our lockdown easing has progressed to phase 2 now and I can cycle out any distance at any time from yesterday so long as I remain within the province. Fingers crossed we don't get a significant spike as we ease off. We have been fortunate with no cases...

Today would have been my first day on the camino.

Good plan. I found the early part of our lockdown the hardest. No outside exercise permitted. I used my old exercise bike on the patio but it's not the same. I used to put my tablet on the console and follow bikepacking tourists on YouTube on routes all over the world. It has eased now and we...

Today would have been my first day on the camino.

I'm sorry for the loss of your wife Michael. I hope you are able to make your new beginning nevertheless and can follow the camino very soon. Fortunately I live close enough to just up and go when conditions improve, jump onto a bus or train with my bicycle and go. Fingers crossed; it could even...

Today would have been my first day on the camino.

My plan had been to travel from home near Seville to León yesterday and begin my camino today by bike from León to Astorga. Instead I'm out on the patio doing some essential bike maintenance. Feeling rather sad.

    Iberia flight cancelations

If it is in your contract with the airline and it gets you a cheaper fare then that's between you and the airline. With some, but not all, airlines you may have the opportunity to purchase a ticket, usually at a higher price, which allows for full or partial refunds under the contract. The EU...

    Iberia flight cancelations

I am in the same boat for two different (non-camino) return flights. My non-refundable ticket is refundable under EU law on cancellations but the airline tells me I will receive a voucher at the end of April which is no use to me, I will contest that with them. The other is a fully flex, fully...

    León to Santiago by Brompton?

Thanks for that; very informative. I have a Thorn Sterling MTB with suspension fork and a Rohloff 14 speed internal gear hub so that sounds my better choice. I live in Spain and ride the Brompton quite a bit on gravel/dirt roads but not hilly. I will travel from Seville to León on the Alsa bus...

    León to Santiago by Brompton?

Has anyone cycled the León to Santiago section on a Brompton or similar small-wheeled folder? I have a Brompton H6R. Which route did you take? Any tips? I'm a regular cyclist.
